Changing states is an important part of the water cycle, which all life relies on.
Every living thing on the planet needs water to survive and be healthy - we need it to drink and to grow crops. Water is also needed to make medicines to help us overcome different infections and diseases. However, climate change means that water isn’t as available as it needs to be in some countries.
To understand this, it is important to understand the water cycle, whereby all water on the planet moves around and changes states depending on the temperature. The image on the right shows the water cycle.
